Halida, Frank Sr. (16 Dec. 1926 - 24 June 2004)
WITHEE - Frank Halida Sr., 77, of Withee, died June 24, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lublin.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thorp Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Welch, W.Va., to John and Mary (Jopa) Halida. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Betty Pribbernow on Dec. 29, 1950, in Chicago, Ill. His wife died May 16, 1991. Frank farmed in the towns of Hixon and Withee, worked at Presto Industry and worked as a logger.
He is survived by his daughters, Jean (Michael) Gustafson, Stanley, Diana Halida, Lublin, Kathy Halida and Elaine Halida, both of Withee; son, Frank Halida Jr., Withee; six grandchildren; three brothers, Stanley Sr. (Stella) Halida, Lublin, Lawrence (Harriet) Halida, Loyal, and Edward (Verna) Halida, Marshfield; and two sisters, Helen Plecko, Eau Claire, and Virginia Korpalski, Chicago.
