Wing, Dagne Emelia (27 May 1916 - 6 April 2004)

Wing, Dagne Emelia of Mattawan, MI; formerly of Plainwell, MI; passed away Tuesday evening, April 6, 2004 at her home in Mattawan, MI. Dagne was born on May 27, 1916 in Withee, WI, the daughter of Ann Snortum Wing and John Nels Wing, both of whom preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Marvel Wing and Oscar Wing, both of Munising, MI; and by her sister, Gladys (Jesse) Wilder, of Three Rivers, MI. Surviving are her two sons, Dennis E. (Theresa) Kordish of Kalamazoo, MI, Victor Kordish and her two grandchildren, Rebecca Kordish, and Dennis H. Kordish, all of Mattawan, MI; her sister, Mrs. Sylvia (Louis) Passinault and sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise (Marvel) Wing, both of Munising; her former husband, Victor A. Kordish of Grand Haven, MI; and many beloved nieces and nephews; and near and dear friends too numerous to mention here. Dagne was employed by the Alger County Camber of Commerce in Munising; Koster's 5 & 10, Angle Steel, Arcan's, Murray Packing, and Essex Wire, all in Plainwell, MI; and Kal Equip. in Otsego, MI. In lieu of flowers or remembrances, monetary and in-kind contributions in beloved Dagne's name to your local Hospice Care agency would be very much appreciated. In view of her desires for cremation services, there will be no visitation. The family and friends will hold a memorial service at a later date, to be announced. The family would like to extend special heartfelt thanks to Dixie and Barb at Van Buren County Hospice. Arrangements by Avink Funeral Home, Cremation Society Schoolcraft.
