OWEN - Harold Carl Schopfer, 86, Owen, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Harold's request was to be cremated with no public visitation or service. His family will honor his request.
Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born Sept. 12, 1918, in the town of Hoard to John and Edith (Hamm) Schopfer. He and Clara Pape were united in marriage in 1944. The couple farmed, raised beef cattle and Harold worked road construction and bulldozing.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Schopfer, Owen; two daughters, Ginger (Camby) Berry, Curtiss, and Judie (Paul) Jacks, Houston; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Evelyn Jorstad, Appleton.
