Mr. Herron was born to Roy Samuel and Mildred May (Schlick) Herron on March 4, 1948, in Cook County, Ill. The family moved to the Neillsville area when Larry was a small child. He attended Neillsville public schools, graduating in 1966. On Oct. 12, 1968, he was united in marriage to the former Janice Seif at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.
Mr. Herron was employed as a sales representative for an office supply company, assistant manager of the Holiday Convenience Store in Neillsville and as a milk and cream tester for Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) of New Ulm, Minn.
Larry was a member of United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Having received a heart transplant 18 years earlier, his attitude and outlook on life was to live it to the fullest. He was known as "Gonzo" to his friends and family. His laughter was contagious and he loved to be around people. Gonzo enjoyed watching the Packers, fishing, woodworking, camping, riding his motorcycle, his dog Fred, traveling and spending time with Janice and their friends.
Larry is lovingly survived by his wife, Janice, of Marshfield; two brothers, Dave (Yvonne) Herron of Marshfield and Roy Herron Jr. of Menasha; and one sister, Michel-Ann Thompson of Plover.
His parents and two brothers, Rick and Frankie, preceded Mr. Herron in death.
