Mueller, Donald J. (8 May 1924 - 14 April 2005)

Donald J. Mueller, 80, of the town of Richfield died Wednesday April 14, 2005, at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday April 18, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Brandt will officiate. Jolene Albert will provide music for congregational hymns.

Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Mueller's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends May call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Hansen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Mueller was born May 8, 1924, on the Mueller homestead in the town of Sherman in Clark County. He was the son of John and Ella (Giloy) Mueller. Donald was baptized into the Christian faith on June 15, 1924, and later confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in the town of Sherman in Clark County. On Sept. 26, 1953, Donald was united in holy marriage to the former Elly Beyer at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary in September 2003.

Donald and Elly, along with their children, operated a dairy farm in the town of Richfield. Their son Terry currently is running the farm. In addition to farming, Donald did custom combining for many years. He also worked as a mechanic for Shober Construction as well as operating a custom backhoe service. Mr. Mueller was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Elly Mueller; sons, Steven (Debra) Mueller and Terry Mueller, all of Marshfield; six grandchildren, Karla Mueller, Marshfield, Sara Mueller, Madison, Jonathon, Kristina, Katrina and Melissa Mueller, all of Marshfield; and one great-grandson, Jared Faulkner, Madison. A sister, Arlene Forsyth, Mt. Vernon, Wash., a brother, Richard (Irene) Mueller, Milwaukee; and many cousins further survive Donald.

An infant brother; a brother-in-law, Robert Forsyth; as well as his parents preceded him in death.

A memorial in Mr. Mueller's name will be established at a later date.
