CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 03/09/1928 Kottke, Daniel (26
JAN 1840 - 5 Feb 1928) Daniel Kottke, one
of the real early settlers in Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.
Country, passed away at the home of his daughter, Katie, near
Norwich, N.D., on Sunday, Feb. 5th, 1928, at the age of 88 years
and 10 days. The Kottke family
came to Dorchester in the early 70’s and settled on a farm 2
½ miles west of the village, where they lived many years.
About 27 years ago, they sold the farm to Dennis Laughlin, and the
place is now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz and family. At
this time they moved to Norwich, North Dakota, where they continued
farming until Feb. 5th, 1917, when Mrs. Kottke passed away and Mr.
Kottke went to live with his daughter, Katie, and at whose home he
has since lived. Mr. Kottke leaves
to mourn his loss, one daughter, Katie, five sons, John, Dan, Jake,
Gottlieb and Matt, and one foster son, Emil. We join with the
many old friends here in extending sympathy to those left
behind. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
