CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 12/21/1928 Franzen, Fr. Frank
(25 NOV 1883 - 13 Dec 1928) (Taylor County
Leader) The untimely death
of Frank Franzen, so of Mr. and Mrs. John Franzen, this city was a
distinct shock to his many friends in this vicinity. Thought he had
been feeling poorly since last September when he was forced to
discontinue work, people in general did not realize the seriousness
of his condition. He was operated on

17th, and remained in the hospital for about five weeks at that
time, when he returned to his home in this city. Thereafter,
because of chronic Bright’s disease, he gradually failed,
death coming about six o’clock Thursday morning, Dec. 13th,
1928. Funeral services
were held at the Holy Rosary Church, this city, Monday, Dec. 17th,
Rev. Reuter officiating, with interment in the Catholic
Cemetery. Mr. Franzen was
born Nov. 25th, 1883, at Charlesburg, Wis., and was forty-five
years old at the time of this death. He came to this city with his
parents in 1884 and has always lived here since that time. Besides his
parents he is survived by four sisters: Mrs. V. J. Hirsch, town of
Little Black, Mrs. John Hirsch, town of Medford, Mrs. Joe Hirsch,
and Mrs. Herman Brunn, this city; also four brothers: Jacob,
Montana, William, Pullmann, Wash., John, International Falls,
