Clark Co., WI) 03/08/1929 Koerner, Martha M. (14 NOV 1864 - 4 Mar 1929) Mrs. John Koerner
died Monday, March 4th, 1929, at the home of her brother, Arthur
Baehr, after an illness of three days, of heart trouble. She was buried
this afternoon from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Rev. J.
Brandt officiating. Martha Marie Baehr
was born in Germany, Nov. 14, 1864, and came to the United States
in 1878. She was married to John Koerner July 3, 1882, and lived in
Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., and Dorchester Country until Mr.
Koerner’s death in July 1912. About three years later she
married Herman Hedrich and lived with him about seven years, then
came to her daughter’s, Mrs. Wm. Koerner, where she stayed
one year and the past six and a half years she has made her home
with the Arthur Baehr family, where she was when death called her.
The only child is her daughter, by adoption, Mrs. Wm. Koerner,
living south of town. She is survived by two brothers, Arthur,
south of town and Robert of Germany, the daughter, Mrs. Wm. Koerner
and six grandchildren. Mrs. Koerner was a
quiet, unassuming lady, a faithful member of the St. Peter’s
Church, which she enjoyed more than worldly works and she has gone
on to her reward. Those from away
who are here for the funeral are Mrs. Herbert Wilhlemi and Miss
Amanda Baehr, of Milwaukee, and Miss Frieda Baehr of Madison. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
