CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 03/15/1929 Windmaiser, Mrs.
Joe (4 Jul 1849 - 22 Feb 1929) Mrs. C. Bunke is
in receipt of a letter from the Windmaisers, for many years
residents of this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), who
have been making their home at Spokane, Wash., since they left ehre
some twenty years ago. The letter tells of the death of Mrs. Joe
Windmaiser, Sr., which occurred on Feb. 22, 1929, of cancer. Mrs.
Windmaiser was 79 years old last July 4th. Mr. Windmaiser passed
away five years ago and Joe, the oldest son, died a year later. The
surviving children are Sophia, Frank and Adolph. Adolph is on the
police force at Spokane and six of his comrade policemen acted as
pallbearers at his mother’s funeral. Many old timers will
remember Mr. Windmaiser as a harness maker and the family used to
live across the road from the Dr. Nedry property on the west side
of town. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
