Hackel, Emma (9 SEP 1902 - 17 May 1929)

Mrs. Wm. Hackel died at her home in the town of Holton, May 17, 1929 of brain fever. The funeral service was held at Milan, Monday, May 20, Rev. Grow officiating, and the remains were brought to Dorchester for interment, Rev. Pitzenberger then officiating.

Emma Miller is the daughter of Mrs. Anna Miller, living east of town (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) and was born Sept. 9, 1902, so at the time of death she was 26 years, 8 months and 8 days of age. Oct. 30, 1921 she was united in marriage to Wm. Hackel at Dorchester. Two children were born to them, Joseph, 2 years old, and William 6 months old. She had lobal pneumonia and had the very best of care but brain fever added and the fight ended and she slipped away into the great beyond.

She was a woman of estimable character and loving disposition and she leaves a host of friends who join her loved ones in mourning her early demise.

Besides her loving husband and two babes, she leaves her mother, three brothers and seven sisters to miss her sweet smile and cheery voice. May God comfort as He promises He will those who are His own.
