LINDERMAN AUSTIN JOHNSON ----Sources: WEEKLY
CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co, WI) 03/09/1928 Austin, Marion (11
FEB 1928) Mr. Wm. Linderman
and Miss Marion Austin were married Feb. 11, 1928, at Longview,
Wash. Yes it happened in Leap Year, but nevertheless was pretty
well planned in 1927, so we really don’t know just how it
happened, for we all thought William a confirmed bachelor after all
these years. William is a
brother of Mrs. J. H. Johnson and will be remembered by many of the
Dorchester people although he left here while quite young, but has
made many trips back here on visits to relatives and friends. He
has spent several years on the prairies in the United States and
Canada and a good many on a ranch in Montana. He is also well known
in a number of Pacific Coast towns as a millwright, but now is
employed as a building contractor in Portland and vicinity. Miss Marion Austin
was born in Nebraska and at the age of eight went to Oregon with
her parents who homesteaded there and where she grew up. Her
parents are still in the west, but she has a brother and sister
living in Wisconsin. She is an accomplished pianist and has been
active in literary work for many years, but is now conducting a
Literary Bureau for Authors. At the wedding the
bride was attired in pink georgette and old lace and carried
carnations; she wore blond slippers and stockings and a coat and
hat of rose beige. Mr. and Mrs.
Linderman will be at home to their friends after May 1st. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
