Owen, Clark County, Wis. - Services for a former Owen resident, who taught piano and voice lessons in the area for 50 years, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Congregational Church in Owen, with the Rev. Larry Davis of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Christ officiating.
Mrs. Clara Z. Wilson, 101, of Houston, Texas, died at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bayou Manor Heath Care Center in Houston.
Friends May call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
Mrs. Wilson, nee Clara Zollinger, was born April 17, 1876, in Port Byron, Ill. She married Arthur M. Wilson in 1901; he died at age 84.
She attended Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., and graduated from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Iowa, majoring in piano and voice.
They lived in central Nebraska until 1918, when they moved to Owen where she taught piano and voice. She was organist for the First Congregational Church in Owen, where she was a member, and for the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, John (Jack) and Arthur, both of Houston, and one daughter, Mrs. A. F. (Harriet) Schreiber of Jamestown, N.D.
