FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR ANDRASKA, KILLED BY SAW
Joseph T. Andraska, 55 years old, Loyal, democratic candidate for sheriff of Clark County last fall, died late Friday night at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield following injuries suffered last Wednesday when he fell against a circle saw at his farm.
The saw cut deep gash from his forehead to his jaw, destroyed his right eye, tore away a portion of his brain and severed the jaw bone.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from St. Anthony’s Catholic church at 9 a.m. the Rev. Aurit officiating. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Herman Bartell camp, No. 39, Spanish-American War veterans and Mueller Hintz post of the Veterans of Foreign wars both of Marshfield, to which Mr. Andraska belonged.
Mr. Andraska was defeated for sheriff last fall by a margin of 448 votes by Herman Olson, Republican.
