Flaig, Andreas (10 JAN 1820 - 24 Feb 1879)
Died, in this village (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on Monday evening of apoplexy, Andreas Flaig, aged 59 years and 1 month.
The death of Mr. Flaig was very sudden, as he was apparently well on Sunday, he arose Monday morning and went around doing his chores, but not feeling well he again retired. He had suffered for some time from Hernia, which had never been properly attended to and was in reality the prime cause of his death. The intense pain he suffered during the afternoon and evening so prostrated him that he fell an easy victim to the stroke of apoplexy that ensued. Mr. Flaig was born in Germany on the 10th day of Jan. 1820; he came to America in 1855, and settled at Sheboygan Falls, where he has since resided, until he moved to Colby about one year ago. He was a very close, saving man and had accumulated considerable wealth.
He leaves a wife and son, a resident of Plymouth, Sheboygan Co., to mourn his sudden and untimely death.
