I do not have date of birth for Oscar Whalen, but he was born in St. Lawrence county, N. Y. His parents were William and Elizabeth Whalen. Oscar married Maria Furlong Parrett after her husband died in the Civil War in 1864. They were married in Osceola,Fond du Lac county,Wi.on 30 April 1865. The family came to Clark county about 1870. They had two sons, Willis and George.
