Henke, Velma (12 JUN 1930)
A pretty wedding took place at the Free Methodist parsonage on Thursday, June 12, when Miss Velma Henke and Alvin Langjahr were united in Holy Matrimony, Rev. C. F. Olson performing the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Henke who lived formally on a farm near Spokeville.
The bride wore a light tan georgette dress with shoes and stockings to match and carried a bouquet of white and pink roses with snapdragons.
Miss Vera Smith was the bridesmaid, and wore peach georgette and carried pink and white carnations.
The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Mr. Henke.
After the wedding the bridal party motored to Greenwood and then back to Riplinger where a reception for immediate friends and relatives was held at the bride’s home.
They are at home to their many friends at Riplinger where the groom owns and operates a store.
The Tribune extends congratulations.
