Matson, Anna C. (20 Jan 1868 - 30 Mar 1941)
Unity, Clark County, Wis. - Mrs. Victor Matson, 73, died at 1:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon of a complication of ailments at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient since March 23.
Funeral rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. J. A. Olson officiating.
Mrs. Matson, nee Anna Caroline Peterson, was born in Trondhjem, Norway, Jan. 20, 1868, and came to the United States in 1872. She was married in Michigan Sept. 20, 1890, to Victor Matson.
The Matsons lived in Calumet, Mich. Before coming to reside on a farm west of Unity 35 years ago.
Mrs. Matson, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1908, is survived by her husband and six children, Mrs. William Kelpy and Emil and Alfred Matson, all of Unity, and Mrs. Fred Ewald, Mrs. Ed Matson, and Mrs. John Vickerson, all of Detroit, Mich. Two children preceded her in death.
There are also 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
