O’Reilly, Michael (26 May 1862 - 18 May 1945)
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - A Requiem High Mass will be read at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Neillsville for Michael O’Reilly, 82, of route 4, Neillsville, who died Friday at 5:20 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, as a result of old age complications. The Rev. J. A. Biegler will have charge of the services, and interment will be made in the parish cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Schiller-Terhune Funeral Home.
A rosary service will be conducted at the Schiller-Terhune Funeral Home at 8 o’clock tonight.
Mr. O’Reilly was born May 26, 1862, attended Sheboygan Co. schools, and was married at New London Oct. 11, 1894 to Emma Maass. He worked as cheesemaker in various places in Wisconsin for 18 years, then farmed at Cascade for 14 years, and in 1917 he came to Clark County to make his home.
He was president of the Board of Directors of the Milk Pool and was a member of the Farmers Union. He also was a member of St. Mary’s Church and its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are 10 children, Thomas of Milwaukee, Florence, Leonard and Lawrence at home, Mrs. Reuben (Cecelia) Burtz of Loyal, Lt. Francis of the U. S. Navy, Vincent of Milwaukee, Mrs. Gilbert (Mary) Yankee and Mrs. Reuben (Em) Schultz of Neillsville, and Basil of Milwaukee; a brother, Terrance of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Martha Godfrey, Cascade; 18 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his wife and two children, a sister, Mrs. Catherine Devine, and three brothers, John, James and the Rev. L. P. O’Reilly.

(Emma) Schultz was my mother. I live in Waterloo, Ia. Friday July
21 my wife and I are driving to Neillsville and plan on being there
early afternoon. I wonder if we could meet with you so I could find
my grandfathers plot, also I don't know if my grandmother is buried
there too. I will be waiting your response. Sure would appreciate
any help you can give me. Thank you Michael
