Krejci, Mayme (23 JAN 1881 - 18 May 1945)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren conducted funeral rites Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Mayme Krejci, 64, of Augusta, who died at 5 p.m. Friday, May 18, 1945, at the Neillsville Hospital. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Otto Warren, Jason Gault, Franklin Randall, Wayne Potter, Frank Luck and Herbert Nichols.

Mrs. Krejci, nee Snyder, was born in the town of York, Jan. 23, 1881, and was married to Frank (Pete) Krejci, April 3, 1907. She attended schools in the Town of York and Neillsville.

She taught rural schools for seven years and after her marriage lived on a farm in the town of York until 1930, when she and her husband moved to Augusta, purchasing a filling station there. Eight years ago her husband died, Mrs. Krejci continuing to operate the station when she was able.

She was brought to the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Hartson, last December when she suffered a light attack of pneumonia, from which she recovered. In March she returned to the Hartson home, when she was afflicted with a heart ailment, but after three weeks went back to Augusta. On April 29 Mrs. Hartson was called to Augusta because of her sister’s illness, Mrs. Krejci accompanying her to Neillsville three weeks ago. Two weeks later she was admitted to the Neillsville Hospital.

Surviving are her sister, Mrs. W. G. (Velma) Hartson, Neillsville, and brother, Guy Snyder, Fond du Lac. Another brother died when he was six years old.
