Palmer J. Gomulka, age 82, life long resident of the Town of Roosevelt, Taylor County, passed away peacefully at his residence under the care of his wife Stella and Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rib Lake on October 23, 2004.
Palmer was born October 20, 1922. in the Town of Roosevelt, Taylor County, the son of John and Nettie (Borsch) Gomulka. He grew up in the Lublin area and attended elementary school there and graduated from the Gilman High School.
He was united in marriage to Stella Krawchuk on June 4, 1949, at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Lublin, Wi. He and his wife Stella have resided and farmed in the Town of Roosevelt all of their lives.
Palmer served on the Town Board for a number of years and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his wife Stella of Lublin, WI, many nieces and nephews of the Koruc, Haizle, and Fall families, and sister-in-laws Harriet and Mitzie Shewczk, Helen Zimba and Pauline Lencz. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Lublin, WI, with Father Chris Wojcik officiating and burial following in the parish cemetery. Friends called Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Gilman Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.
