DORCHESTER WOMAN DIES ON SATURDAY

Mrs. Fred Mayer, 60, Will be Buried at Salem Church Tuesday

Dorchester--Mrs. Fred Mayer, 60, died at her home in the town of Holton at 4:22 a. m. Saturday as a result of dropsy. She had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services will be conducted at Salem Evangelical church at 2 p. m. Tuesday, the Rev. L. G. Thiel officiating. Burial will take place in Memorial cemetery.

Mrs. Mayer was born at Shalgo, Targan, Hungaria, on Sept. 24, 1875. Her maiden name was Irma Papesch. She came to the United States with her parents when she was seven years of age and settled with them on a farm two miles east and a mile north of Dorchester.

She was married to Fred Mayer on Nov. 24, 1904 and has lived in the present farm home ever since.

She is survived by her husband, a brother, Marvin Papesch, and a sister, Mrs. Leonard (Olga) Paff, all of Dorchester, and by 18 nieces and nephews.

The date of burial will be the anniversary of the day her parents moved to the farm in the town of Holton after leaving Hungary.
