Sterling, Mary (1818 - 3 JUN 1882)

Died, at her residence in Plover, Wis., on Saturday morning, the 3rd inst., Mrs. Mary, wife of Geo. Sterling, in the 65th year of her age.

Mrs. Sterling was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania in 1818, where she was united in matrimony to Mr. George Sterling in 1839. In 1849 she came with her husband to Plover, where she has since resided. She was the mother of ten children, eight of whom, three sons and five daughters are still living and were all present at her death bed. Mrs. G. W. Ghoca of this place (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Mrs. Henry Barker and Mrs. Rufus Barker of Holeton, Marathon Co., are daughters of the deceased and John A. Sterling of Holeton, a son, and all have the sympathy of their many friends in this vicinity in their great loss.
