Roter, Alice V. (4 MAY 1859 - 7 NOV 1882)
Died, at her home in Abbotsford, Wis., on the 7th inst., of puerperal fever, Mrs. Alice V., beloved wife of L. R. Roter, in the 24th year of her age.
Alice V. Thompson was born at Fremont, Ohio, on the 4th day of May 1859. July 24th, 1879, she was united in matrimony with Mr. L. R. Roter at Shannodale, Pa., with whom she removed to this state last January and located at Abbotsford. The funeral services took place this afternoon at 1 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Chas. Barker. The remains were taken to Appleton for interment this afternoon. Mrs. Roster has lived at Abbotsford but about ten months, yet, in that time, has endeared herself in the affections of all with whom she became acquainted, and her early and sudden demise is deeply lamented by the entire community. She leaves, her bereaved husband, a little girl two years of age and a baby ten days old, to mourn the loss of a kind and endearing wife and mother.
