Ferry, Ruth L. (23 SEP 1818 - 17 Feb 1883)

Died, in the town of Colby, Clark County, Wis., on Saturday, Feb. 17th, 1883, of inflammation of the liver and malarial fever, Ruth L., wife of Mr. George Ferry, aged 64 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Ruth L. Olds was born in the town of Lorain, Jefferson Co., N.Y. Sept. 23rd, 1818. She was married to George Ferry, who survives the loss of a loving wife, Oct. 31st, 1838. They came to Wisconsin in July 1842, and settled at Oconomowoc, where she resided with her husband until the 24th of August, 1882, when they removed to this place.

Deceased was the mother of six children, three boys and three girls, three of whom are living, two boys and one girl.

The remains were taken to Oconomowoc yesterday for interment.
