Married, at the residence of the bride’s parents in Keene, March 22nd, 1883, by the Rev. W. W. Stevens, Mr. Willis J. Briggs of St. Paul Minn., to Miss Etha Mathewson of Keene, Wis. (Stevens Point Journal)

The bridegroom in the above will be recognized as the eldest son of our esteemed citizen, J. L. Briggs. Willis and his lady stopped here several days at his father’s while on his way back to St. Paul. His many friends in this vicinity wish the happy couple many happy years of unadulterated happiness and joy.
