Morse, Marion R. (22 Mar 1898 - 31 OCT 1930)

As published in our last weeks issue, Mrs. George Morse of York passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield on Friday, Oct. 31st after an illness of four days duration and was buried in the Loyal cemetery on Monday, Nov. 3rd , Rev. Peter B. Franklin of Marshfield officiated at the services. The pall bearers were John Goetz, Wm. Seidelmann, Albert Meyer, Geo. Kronberger, Ed Vick and Gust. Kuester.

Mrs. Morse, nee Marion Ruth Ferris, was born in Oconomowoc, Wis. on March 22, 1898, having thus reached the age of 32 years old, 7 months and 8 days at the time of her death. She came to Clark County with her parents in 1910. On August 4, 1920, she was married to George W. Morse at Marshfield, and to this union was born five children, three of whom died in infancy. The two surviving children are Alta Fern Morse and Gladys Fannie Morse. Besides her daughters and husband her loss is mourned by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferris of Colby; and tow brothers, Harold R. Ferris and James A. Ferris. The deceased is remembered by her friends as kind and pleasant and with an affectionate disposition.

Thos from out of town who attended the funeral were MR. and Mrs. J. F. Schmidt, Horicon, Wis., James Campbell, Ed Thompson, of Rubicon, Wis., Geo. Ferris and son Elmer, Oconomowoc, Wis., Mrs. Archie Powell, and Mrs. Archie Judd of Spring Valley.
