MEISSNER FUNERAL SCHEDULED OCT. 30 Rev. Gutknecht Will Conduct Services at Chili

Funeral rites will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Chili Evangelical Church for Edwin Meissner, 60, who died Sunday morning at 5 o'clock at his home in Chili. He had been hospitalized twice since the latter part of September and had been confined to his bed since Oct 11. The Rev. S. A. Gutknecht will have charge of the service and burial will be made in the Yolo Cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Meissner home. Mr. Meissner, son of the late Charles and Ida Meissner, was born at Caledonia, Racine County, Feb. 21, 1886, and was married at Fremont April 14, 1915, to Bertha Grobe. He was a farmer and a mason by trade. Surviving besides his widow are five children, Harland and Chester Meissner, Chili, and Norman, Douglas, and Betty Jane Meissner, at home. Also surviving are three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emil (Alma) Ott, Nasonville; and four brothers, Charles and Earl, Granton; Ervin, Neillsville; and Arbie, Milwaukee.
