Fahey, Edward (NOV 1853 - 5 Augl 1945)
Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis. - Edward Fahey, 91, a resident of Greenwood the past 62 years, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. at the Clark County Hospital, Owen, where he was a patient since June 19.
Mr. Fahey, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fahey, was born in November 1853, at Lambton, Canada, came from Canada to Greenwood with his mother, bothers and sisters, and lived on a farm on the 26 road south of Greenwood.
After his retirement a number of years ago, Mr. Fahey resided on Main St., Greenwood, living with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hogue the past few years.
Mr. Fahey, who was unmarried, sold monuments for a time and was sexton of the Greenwood Cemetery. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Harry Hogue, Greenwood; Mrs. Mert Congor, Port Huron, Mich.; and Mrs. Kate Sutherland, Bakersfield, Calif.; and a brother, Mike, undress unknown.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, the Rev. J. J. Novak officiating. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
