FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS - Sonia Seefeldt Meissner went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on October 18, 2003, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. A service was held at North Dallas Fellowship, Carrolton, Texas with interment in Yolo Cemetery, Chili, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Meissner was born December 11, 1931 in Marathon County, WI to Lawrence Seefeldt and Eleanor Menger. Following the death of her mother in March 1942, she lived with her Uncle Marvin and Aunt Gladys Menger in Chili.
Sonia married Douglas J. Meissner on October 20, 1950 in Chili. During their marriage, the Meissners lived in Chili, Aurora, Colorado, Arlington, Carrollton, Texas, moving to Flower Mound, Texas in 1998.
Survivors include her loving husband Douglas Meissner. Their 53d wedding anniversary was Monday October 20. Her children are: Sheila Hallenberg, Shirlee (Kent) Alexander, Susan (Jim) Klock, John (Jane) Meissner, Sally (Darrell) Norris, Mark (Valerie) Meissner, Paul (Laurie) Meissner, Brent (Denise) Meissner, and Sherri Meissner.
She was grandmother to Samuel (Amy) Hallenberg, Lee Hallenberg, Summer Alexander, Aaron Alexander, Katie Klock, David Klock, Elle Klock, John Robert Meissner, Nicole (Jason) Roucloux, Paige Shannon, Chase Meissner, Alex Meissner, and Miranda Meissner. Sonia's great-grandson is Samuel Hallenberg II.
Sisters include Sally Reichert and Harriet Parrish; brothers Harold (Nancy) Allen and Earl Allen; brothers-in-law Norman (Elaine) Meissner, Chester (Marian) Meissner; sister-in-law Betty Meissner Gluch; very special aunt Gladys Menger; many neices, nephews, and friends.
