Adolph Wm Unger
Adolph William Unger, age 81, of Neillsville, died here Tuesday afternoon. The body will lie in state this Thursday morning and funeral services will be held from the Georgas Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m., with Masonic services. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Unger, son of Anton and Agnes (Hanchman) Unger was born April 9, 1888, in Neillsville. He received his education, and graduated from the high school here. He worked for his father in the family shoe store and later took over the business. He retired in 1950.
He was married to Ethel Smith on June 24, 1914, in Phillips.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert of Sheboygan, and James of Oshkosh; and two grandchildren.
He was a member of Neillsville Lodge, No. 163, F and A.M.; Neillsville Chapter, No. 66, Royal Arch Masons; Neillsville Commandery, No. 36, Knights Templer; and Carmi Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, No. 60.
