Bolger, Captain M. H. (? - 1934)
? E. Bartlett brought a newspaper clipping to the Press office Tuesday telling of the death of Captain M. H. Bolger, assistant chief of the Watertown police force, after a two weeks’ illness. Mr. and Mrs. Bolger will be remembered by many of the older residents of this community, having owned the farm now occupied by E. J. Lanham east of the fairgrounds, about 25 years ago. Mr. Bolger has been a member of the Watertown police force 21 years.
Mr. Bolger is survived by his widow four children, the Rev. Henry P. Bolger, C.S.C., a graduate of the University of Norte Dame and at present in Pasadena, Calif.; Francis G. Bolger, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. J. F. Hinkes, Sheboygan, and Miss Josephine Bolger, a teacher in the Milwaukee public schools. There are five grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. James Leddy, Chicago; Mrs. F. Packel, Waterloo; Mrs. Martin Griffin and Miss Hannah Bolger, Columbus; P. H. Bolger, Milwaukee and John Edward Bolger, Waterloo.

Just came across this on the net, this is part of my family. My grandfather was John. What is your connection to Bolger's? Marilyn Bolger Gentry, mar@classicnet.net

Thank you for sending this to me. Can you tell me what Captain Bolger's initials, M.H., stand for? I might be able to tell by his name if we could possibly be related.
Thanks, again. Sarah

If you are talking about the M H Bolger who was the chief of police in Watertown, WI, the first name is Michael. None of the papers I have show the middle name. He was married to Mary Roche and the son of James & Anna Bolger and was also a brother to my grandfather John.
