McKinney, Philetus (? - 1 Jan. 1934)

Word was received by relatives here last week that Leat McKinney died at his home near Mission, South Dakota, on Jan. 1.

It seems that he was injured by his horse falling on him, dying from the injuries.

For a number of years, Mr. McKinney lived on his farm in the town of Hewett. He was a good farmer and dairyman and occasionally had charge of auctions. He was a writer of some ability and was an occasional contributor to the Neillsville Press and his old hometown paper, the Fennimore Times.

He leaves his wife and five children.
