Perkins, Amelia (1872* - 14 Feb. 1934) *could be off.

The following clipping from the Racine paper tells of the death of Mrs. M. N. Perkins, for many years a resident of Neillsville. She died Feb. 14. The funeral was on Feb. 17. The Press extends sympathy.

"Mrs. Amelia Perkins, 61, wife of Merton N. Perkins, 1226 West Lawn Avenue, died early this morning at St. Luke’s hospital, following a short illness. She was born in Germany and has lived in Racine since 1922, coming here from La Farge, Wis. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.

Thirty-six years ago she was united in marriage with Mr. Perkins, who survives, with one son, Layton E. Perkins, in charge of the local Remington-Rand office, and one daughter, Miss Caroline Perkins, a teacher in McKinley junior high school; one grandson, Jack Perkins, all of Racine; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Woodward of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Smale of Merrillan, Wis.; one brother, Louis Crago of Merrillan.

"The body was taken to the Dahl Funeral home where it May be viewed Friday afternoon and eve. Funeral services will be held at Dahl’s at 2 o’clock Saturday, with the Rev. John I. Meck in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in Graceland cemetery." - Racine News.
