Krause, Anna Rosina (21 June 1841 - 24 Feb. 1934)

Mrs. August Krause, one of the oldest settlers in the town of Grant, passed away at the home of her son, Herman in that town Feb. 24.

Mrs. Krause, whose maiden name was Anna Rosina Leppert, was born in Schlesen, Germany, June 21, 1841.

At the age of 21, she came to this country with her family, who settled in the town of Grant.

Soon after her arrival she was married to August Krause and they settled on land in Grant where they developed a good farm.

Her husband died 13 years ago, and since then she has lived with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Krause on the home farm.

She was a woman of the old pioneer type, doing well her part in caring for the home and helping where needed.

She leaves one son Herman, and ten grandchildren.

The funeral was held at Maple Works Lutheran Church, Feb. 27, Rev. A. Lasech officiating.
