Saupe, Emma Linna (10 Sept. 1859 - ? March 1934)

Funeral services for Emma Linna Saupe, 611 South Mission Street, will be held from the Jones and Jones Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. E. J. A. Probst officiating. Interment was made in the Wenatchee Cemetery.

Mrs. Sauper was born September 10, 1859 at Hartrode, Germany and died this morning at 12:15 o’clock after an illness of four months. She suffered a stroke December 4, from which she never recovered.

She was a resident of Wenatchee for 20 years, having come to the United States 50 years ago. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are one son, Oscar Saupe of Wenatchee; three daughters, Mrs. Day Green and Mrs. Martha Stannard of Wenatchee and Mrs. Lec Martin of Seattle; three sisters in Germany, one sister in Wisconsin and two grandchildren, R. E. Stannard and Victor Koch. - The Wenatchee Daily World.

(Mrs. Saupe will be remembered by many of the older residents of Neillsville, having lived here with her family for 30 years. They moved west about 20 years ago. Her husband, Herman Saupe, preceded her in death a number of years ago.)
