Haack, Elizabeth (23 April 1891 - 18 June 1934)

Mrs. F. J. Haack passed away after a serious surgical operation Monday evening at 9 o’clock, June 18, 1934, aged 43 years, 1 month and 25 days.

Elizabeth Newbecker was born in Austria-Hungary, April 23, 1891, and in infancy came with her parents to Chicago. When she was about 7 years old the family came to Clark County and settled in the town of Levis. Here she grew to womanhood. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Washburn.

April 23, 1924 she was united in marriage with Frank J. Haack and went to live on his farm in the town of Weston, which remained their home until her death.

Mrs. Haack was a woman of kindly disposition, a good wife and friendly neighbor, and well liked in the community.

She leaves her husband, two step-sons, Theodore Haack of Marshfield and Norman Haack at home; also four brothers, William Newbecker, Chicago; Matthew and Frank Newbecker, town of Levis and George Newbecker, Rice Lake.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at Schiller’s Funeral Home and 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haack, St. Cloud, Minn.; Louis and Albert Haack, William and Minnie Kammer, Algoma, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey, Mondovi; Joseph and Jacob Newbecker, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Anderson, Stanley, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Val Becker, Marshfield.
