Bowe, Mildred Catherine (4 Jan. 1926 -27 May 2005)

LOYAL - Mildred C. Bowe, 79, of Loyal died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. The Very Rev. Roman Kaiser will celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mildred's grandsons, Brian Bowe, Ben Bowe, Joe Bowe, Nick Bowe, Andy Bowe and Nathan Bowe.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, May 30, 2005, and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at Cuddie Funeral Home in Loyal.

Mildred Catherine Jagim was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Gascoyne, N. D., the daughter of George and Margaret (Fraynd) Jagim. As a young girl she lived and was educated in Minnesota and Spokane, Wash. On Oct. 21, 1950, Mildred was united in marriage to Benedict Nicholas Bowe at St. Anne's Church in Spokane. The young couple resided on a ranch in Waterville, Wash., where Ben worked for Douglas County, Wash. In 1959, Mildred and Ben moved to Wisconsin and farmed in the town of Beaver until their retirement in 1978. Mildred was a homemaker and served as the treasurer for the town of Beaver for 28 years. She was a member of the garden club, St. Anthony's Catholic Church and their PCCW and the Lone Pine Homemakers. She greatly enjoyed gardening, dancing, theater dinners and short trips.

She is survived by her five sons, Larry (Cindy) Bowe of Loyal, Bruce "Neil" (Jackie) Bowe of Waunakee, John (Sandy) Bowe of Loyal, Raymond Bowe of Loyal and Leroy (Terry) Bowe of Loyal; 11 grandchildren, Kari, Brian, Michelle, Kelly, Jeana, Nick, Andy, Ben, Tammy, Joe and Nathan; 10 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kade, Cody, Alexis, Wyatt, Jakob, Madysen, Mya, Logan and Nolan.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Tom Jagim; her husband, Ben, on Jan. 10, 1990; and one son, Donald Bowe on Aug. 6, 1999.
