Ahles, Nyda (19 April 1920 - 4 Aug. 2004)
Nyda Ahles, 84, of Wausau died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
Nyda was born April 19, 1920, in Wausau to the late William and Ida (Kamrath) Synnott. She married Ralph Ahles in Merrill. Ralph preceded her in death in 1977. Nyda was a longtime resident of Thorp. She was a member of the Ruth Circle at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Thorp. Nyda enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and loved vacationing with her entire family in Minocqua.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Ahles, Madison, Scott (Leah Press) Ahles, Fresno, Calif., and Tim (Randye Cohen) Ahles, Norwich, Vt.; one sister, Gertrude Synnott, Wausau; and seven grandchildren, Nick, Julia, Jake, Cameryn, Benjamin, Samuel and Noah Ahles. Nyda was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Ervin, Leonard, Alice, Mabel, William, Gordon and Myron.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Officiating will be the Rev. Jay Kamrath. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
