Klak, Estelle K. (30 May 1915 - 11 March 2004)

KLAK, Estelle K., 88, of Thorp died on Thursday at Oakbrook Health & Rehabilitation in Thorp.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin.

Friends May call an hour before services at the church.

Thorp Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Estelle K. Klak

THORP - Estelle K. Klak, 88, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Monday until services at the church.

Estelle Kurowski was born May 30, 1915, in Chicago to Joseph and Stella (Bernett) Kurowski. She was raised and educated in Chicago, where she graduated from high school. On April 3, 1948, Estelle was united in marriage to Joseph F. Klak in Chicago.

She worked for many years in a bakery in Chicago. After her husband retired in 1975, they moved to a farm north of Thorp. Joseph died on Nov. 25, 1990. Estelle entered Oakbrook in June of 1995 and resided there until her death.

She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Kurowski of Paso Robles, Calif., and one niece, Marcia Reimer.
