Schultz, Leroy E. (1907? - 14 Feb 1931)

Leroy Ernest Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Schultz, met his death last Saturday morning in a very unfortunate accident. After breakfast he began to install a radio set which he had just obtained. In putting up the aerial he found that the shed in the back yard was not high enough, and so he decided to secure it to a nearby high-power pole. While working at the top of the pole, he either accidentally touched the uninsulated wire or fell and attempted to grasp the wire to stop his fall. He was discovered by a member of the family in a state of insensibility which was soon discovered to be death.

The young man, 23 years old, was born at Burlington, Wisconsin Oct. 20, 1907. Several years ago he moved to Loyal with his parents, and has been employed on farms in this vicinity since then. He is survived by a twin sister Alice, Mrs. Marvin White of Park Falls, six brothers, Rueben Of Loyal, Raymond of Milton Junction, Wis., Harold; Dale; Warren and Robert of Loyal; three grand parents: Mrs. Alice Schultz of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kasten of Manitowoc, and other relatives. His Acquaintance was wide and he undoubtedly leaves many friends.

The funeral ceremony was conducted at the parental home at 2 P. M. on Tuesday of this week with the Reverend Vern C. Kegley officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Loyal Cemetery.

The Tribune joins the wide circle of friends of the deceased in offering Condolences to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow.
