Tifft, Julia E. (*1860 - 1934) *Birth was taken from the 1910 census.
A letter from Dr. Vola French De Lane at Los Angeles, to a friend here states that Mrs. Julia E. Tifft died in Santa Barbara, Calif., several weeks ago. No previous notice of her death had reached the Press.
Mrs. Tifft lived for many years in Neillsville. For a few years she was sole owner of the Republican and Press and later was associated with Geo. E. Crothers in it publication thought taking no active part in the business. Later she moved to California.
Mrs. Tifft was a woman of rarely sweet and lovable character, meeting the sorrows of life, of which she had many, with a fine, cheerful spirit.
She is survived by one daughter, Miss Bessie Tifft, of Santa Barbara.
Two daughters, Stella and Olive, died here, and one daughter, Mrs. Mabel French, died in California.
