Carl Struwe, for several years a resident of Neillsville, died at the General Hospital in Milwaukee, on Tuesday Sept. 14, aged 89 years, 10 months and 17 days. The cause of his death was broncho-pneumonia. Mr. Struwe was born in Germany and spent the active years of his life in farming. For about 8 years he owned and operated a small farm in the Neillsville City limits, coming here from Chicago. His wife died here in 1904, and in 1905 he went to Milwaukee to live with hid daughter, Mrs. Wm. F. Voigt, making his home there the rest of his life. During his residence here he made many friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Voigt of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Carl Spiegel of Pine Valley. He leaves also two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The body was brought here for burial in Neillsville Cemetery beside his wife. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Schillers Funeral Home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
Those from way attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Voigt, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Voigt, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Spiegel of Antigo.
