Jensen, Thomas (1872 - 29 Sept. 1934)

Thomas Jensen of the town of Washburn, died Saturday, September 29, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, where he underwent an operation for tumor of the kidney.

Mr. Jensen was born at Rockdale 1872. He lived at Rockdale until 1906, when he moved to Ft. Atkinson. About 14 years ago he and his brother Herman, moved to Clark County and bought a farm in the town of Washburn where they lived since made their home.

Deceased was a man of quiet habits, industrious and honest. He was never married, he and his brother carrying on the work on the farm and doing their own housework. Beside this brother he leaves a brother Nicholas and one sister, Sarah, Mrs. Chas. Sherman. Three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Schiller’s Funeral home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. The body was taken to Rockdale Cemetery for burial in the family lot. Mr. Jensen was formerly a member of the Rockdale Norwegian Lutheran Church.
