McKenzie, Mary (Marriage - 3 July 1934)
Harry J. Thompson and Miss Mary McKenzie were united in marriage in Chicago July 3, 1934. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Thompson of the Town of York. He grew up on the home farm, graduated from the Happy Hollow rural school, and for some time has been manager of the Farmers Union oil station in Neillsville. He is a young man of honesty, integrity and good business ability.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McKenzie of the town of Weston. After finishing the rural school she entered Neillsville High School, graduating from the teachers training department. Later she graduated from the State Teachers College in Stevens Point. She has taught successfully for two years. She is a young lady of exceptionally fine personality, and has many friends.
After their wedding ceremony a reception to relatives and friends was given by an exclusive North Side Chicago Club.
After spending a week visiting the relatives in Chicago and LaSalle, Ill., the young couple returned to make their home in Neillsville.
