Thanks for adding the correction. Many of us transcribe things "as is" and as you mentioned, they did often have typos in those early days before newspapers had spell check. It is amazing they've done so well. Believe me, Duane is very much the sort of person who does care about errors. He'd asked me about this and I said we'd leave the original transcription along with your correction. Thanks for helping!

By the way, we are always compiling area history articles. Do you happen to have any photos, stories or news clips which could be included in any of the township pages? Also, would you have any interest in being one of the volunteers for the project? There is lots of typing to be done and we won't insist you leave transcriptions "as is" as long as you mention the correction. Do let us know if you are interested!
