The Rev. Edgar R. Milleville, 78, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital emergency room.

Services will be held Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield with burial at Hillside Lutheran Cemetery.

The Rev. Milleville was born May 27, 1903 in Niagara Falls, NY. In 1921 he entered Martin Luther College and in 1925 the Seminary of Buffalo, NY. He graduated in June 1928 and was ordained in August 1928 in his home church in Niagara Falls. He married Harriet Frank June 30, 1928 in Jackson.

During his 50 years in the ministry, the Rev. Milleville served churches in Fraser and Utica, Mich., Neustadt and Ayton, Ontario, Canada, and from 1943 - 1956 in Nasonville and the town of Fremont.

He helped unite the two congregations into Grace Lutheran Church and was instrumental in building a new church at Nasonville in 1949.

He served in Cedarburg until 1974 when he retired from active ministry and moved to Marshfield. He has been chairman of the Rural Life Program of the American Lutheran Church, a member of the mission and evangelism committees of the Wisconsin District and the clergy association of Cedarburg.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert of Carmel, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin of Sandborn, NY and three sisters, Helen Milleville, Elsie Milleville and Mrs. Edward (Thekla) DeVantier, all of Niagara Falls, NY.

He was predeceased by a daughter Mrs. Roy (Shirley) Fiechter on Oct. 20, 1980 and two brothers.
