Rayhorn, Louisa (5 FEB 1855 - 4 May 1931)

Louisa Loehring Rayhorn was born February 5, 1855 on a Minnesota farm. While quite young her family moved to Southern Indiana, later living in the city of Evansville, Ind., where she lived until the time she was united in marriage to William Rayhorn at Freeport, Ill., about 1881.

To this union was born six children four boys and two girls: Carl of Marshfield, Mrs. Dora Henke of Colby; Arthur and Emil Rayhorn of Freeport, Ill., Mrs. Maud McClain of Evansville, Ind., and Loy Rayhorn of Loyal, with whom she made her home for a number of years and until her death Monday at the age of 76 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

She also leaves two step children William Rayhorn of Freeport and Mrs. (?spelling) Lemhaus of Appleton, Wis. Besides these children she leaves two sisters Miss Caroline Loehring of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Emma Menser of Grandview, Ind, and nineteen grandchildren besides other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held Thursday April 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the M. E. Church, the Rev. V. C. Kegley officiating. Burial took place in the Union cemetery.

Those from away attending the funeral, were Mr. Carl Rayhorn, Marshfield; Mr. Arthur Rayhorn, Freeport, Ill.; Mr. Emil Rayhorn, Freeport, Ill., Mrs. Maud McClain of Evansville, Ind.

The Tribune joins the many friends of the bereaved ones in offering their heartfelt sympathy.
