Riplinger, Josephine (3 Mar 1851 - 7 Jul 1885)

Died, at her home in this village (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), of Spinal Disease, Mrs. Josephine, wife of John Riplinger, in the 33rd year of her age.

Miss Josephine Hartman was born in the town of Herman, Sheboygan Co., Wis., March 3rd, 1851. Her parents moved to South Carolina where they remained one year, then returned to the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc Co. In 1872 she was married to John Riplinger, the husband who now mourns her loss. In the fall of 1875 she came with her husband to this place, where she has since resided. Mrs. Riplinger was a most excellent lady, kind and accommodating, loved by everybody acquainted with her. Mrs. Riplinger was on the street a little while on the Fourth but was obliged to go to bed. On Tuesday morning about half past one o’clock, she breathed her last. The funeral will take place at the Catholic Church, conducted by Rev. Father Ritz. Mrs. Riplinger leaves a husband, two children and a large number of friends to mourn her early demise.
