Booth, Isaiah (2 JUL 1801 - 13 Apr 1886)
Died, on Tuesday, April 13th, 1886, at Plainfield, of old age and general debility, Isaiah Booth, in the 85th year of his age.
Mr. Booth was born in the town of Livingston, R.I., July 2nd, 1801. At the age of 22 he was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Wilcox. In 1853 he came to Wisconsin and settle in the town of Alto, Fond du Lac Co., near the village of Brandon. For the past fourteen years he has made his home mostly in Waushara Co. He was the father of 10 children, 8 sons and two daughters, of which there are living six sons, A. H., of this place (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), being next to youngest.
Last June the six brothers met with their father at the home of his eldest son, Ezra Booth, of Plainfield, which was the last time they met together.
In 1880 Mr. Booth wrote a little sketch of his life, giving full directions for his funeral and inscriptions for his tombstone, and for that of his wife, which we are unable to reproduce for lack of room.
