Horn, Harold L. (4 Oct. 1916 - 23 June 2005)
GREENWOOD - Harold L. Horn, 88, of Greenwood, died Thursday, June 23, 2005, of complications following a stroke at the Colonial Center in Colby.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday June 27, 2005, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Greenwood.
Visitations will be from noon until service time Monday at the church.
Harold was born on Oct. 4, 1916, to Otto and Ida (Ebert) Horn in the town of Warner. He ran the family farm until his marriage to Esther Tesmer on July 20, 1941. He was predeceased by his wife. They then moved and farmed in Greenwood. In 1960 they moved into Greenwood and operated the root beer stand and later on the north side of town built and operated the Edgetown Drive-In until 1975. He was also employed by Grassland Dairy where he worked for more than 20 years. He married Arvilla Wessel in 1970. They operated Horn's lunch wagon. She died in 991.
He is survived by a daughter, Eunice Schubert, Oconomowoc; son, James (Dolores) Horn, Greenwood; stepson, Allan (Ellen) Wessel, Madison; brother, Glenn (Jeanette) Horn, Thorp; three granddaughters, step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
